Frenkie Feint (De Jong turn)

When to use

The move works when you have an opponent pressuring you from behind. It allows you to create space for a pass, particularly if you receive the ball reversed (facing back towards your own goal)

Where to use

Midfield and Forward positions

Steps (for right-footed players)

The setup - You have the ball at your feet and there is a defender pressuring you from behind. Push the ball into space diagonally to the left in front of you, not more than one large step

The feint - Drop your shoulder and take one or two decisive steps to follow the ball. Accelerate until you are level with the ball with the ball to the right of your body. Make sure your opponent is following you to the left

The drop - Stop your run and use the outside of your preferred steer the ball to the right with one or two taps until you have reversed direction
